responsible for the execution of the Institutes guiding principles, policies and regulations in foreign activities, ensuring the stable and healthy development of foreign affairs, including assisting the leaders to constitute and report the annual planning of foreign activites and help to implement these plans. It is also responsible for applying to and contacting the foreign control section of the Shanghai municipal Public Security Bureau and obliged to handle the foreign affairs.
Undertaking the establishment of Sino-foreign joint educational programs, including inviting foreign teachers and handling the relevant formalities of entering and leaving the country, arranging the food and lodging of foreign scholars and helping with the formalities for Institute's teachers to go abroad.
Responsible for foreign communications and actively furthering the contact with foreign universities or

colleges and academic organs. It also receives visitors to the Institute and organizes visiting groups to other countries, including reporting the visiting activities to the superior department for approval.
Undertake jobs concerned in managing the longstanding foreign experts and teachers.
Responsible for the routine foreign affairs, including managing presents involved in these affairs, reporting to the suprior department the Institute's foreign receptions and orgazing necessary reception staff , receiving and replying the foreign letters and keeping achives of the documents.of foreign affairs.
Assuming the office work related to Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan.
